WORKING WITH US

We want to change the way people learn. We think education is unnecessarily associated with blandness, and want to shake things up with fun at MindSnacks.

You’ll work in a fast-paced startup environment, full of challenges, magical opportunities & talented folks.

You’ll build stuff that millions of people use.

You’ll work hard, but rarely be bored.

We’re on the hunt for motivated people to join our stellar team. If you think you've got what it takes, let’s talk!

  1. Art Director

"Always two there are, no more, no less: a master and an apprentice." But actually this time there are around six. Our six designers, animators, and illustrators are seeking an art Yoda. If we need to keep this grounded in reality (why?) we'll call you the Art Director. As the Art Director you'll guide the art design for our entire app and ensure consistent style and mood across the games. You'll help us identify problem areas in production, then work to find the best compromise between the artistic needs of the project and the technical and organizational capabilities of the team. You'll also act as a coach and mentor, providing feedback to the artists, and generally just being an art Yoda. If you've got brilliant advice backstocked in your brain and the experience to validate it, do apply or do not, there is no try.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Deep understanding of Adobe Creative Suite
    • Team leadership skills and pipeline expertise
    • Mobile gaming experience
    • Shipped multiple games
    • Wonderful portfolio of work
  2. Android Engineer

If you are passionate about the Android platform, we want you to share that with us and spread it around like it's your job, because it will be. Our exclusive affair with iOS is coming to a close, and we are looking for a seasoned Android engineer to come help us broaden our horizons. If that sounded like the synopsis of a romantic comedy, that's because it didn't make sense. Let's get back on track. We need your expert developing skills in order to expand our product to its full potential. You'll be working closely with our engineering team and coordinating with our QA and Support teams to help get our product where it needs to be with Android. If this could be you, please apply!

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Deep, expert-level experience with Android platform
    • Primary or sole developer of at least one significant Android application
    • Proficient in Java, C, and C++
    • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field

    Bonus Points:

    • Team leadership experience
    • Experience with iOS
    • Exposure to game development on Android
  3. Game Designer

We’re looking for an animal (preferably a homo sapien) to work on all aspects of game design, including prototyping, balancing, and documentation.

You’ll be working closely with the our art and engineering teams, generally being an all-around genius. You’ll also be helping out with some hiring, so the ability to speak is a plus. Opposable thumbs preferred, but we don’t discriminate. Woof!

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 3+ years of game design experience with at least one shipped title
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong math skills

    Bonus Points:

    • Playable examples of past projects
    • Educational games experience
  4. Marketing Intern

We need someone to send out chain e-mails, design spambots, and go door to door with pamphlets. Maybe spin a sign on a street corner. After that, it's time for some real work.

You'll help us engage top influencers in the educational community via blog posts, articles, podcasts, and videos that help communicate our brand and authority. You’ll help plan mobile marketing campaigns, and you’ll get a chance to dig into some real-life app data. Accepting applications from sweet and wholesome people only.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Superior writing and communication skills
    • Passion for helping people learn, particularly in a fun, highly engaging way
    • Fluency in social media (Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc)
    • Data analytics experience a bonus
    • Experience level: rising juniors, seniors and recent college grads
  5. UI Design Intern

We have a bunch of product work on the table and are seeking a talented and ambitious intern to help out in a major way. Got the chops and passion for great design? Let’s do this. We’ll give you challenging design problems, you’ll give us simple and beautiful solutions. Then we promptly love you for it.

    Minimum of 20 hours/week.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • A design portfolio
    • Able to work out of our SF office (not remotely)
    • Adept with all Adobe products
  6. General Application

Can't find a job that's just right for you? Why not apply now anyway so we can contact you when the perfect role becomes available?

At MindSnacks we build fun, touch-based, educational games that teach languages and other subjects. We take the fun part very seriously! Ironic, right? Learning has this inexplicable boring reputation, and we are here to change that. If you’re interested in gaming or mobile, you should probably apply because we do both AND eat cookies at the same time.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Be smart, fun and motivated!
